MindWare Dig It Up! Wild Animals Dig Kit invites curious kids to excavate 12 unique animal pods, each concealing a different miniature wild creature. With a complete tool set, instructions, and an Excavation Guide, this hands-on activity blends playful digging with approachable science ideas that feel natural and exciting.

What’s included

• 12 jungle-print pods, individually wrapped
• 12 chiseling tools for precise sediment removal
• 12 instruction sheets to guide each dig
• 1 excavation guidebook to learn about each animal

How it works

Soak a pod in water, then gently chisel away the sediment to reveal the hidden animal. Rinse off the clay, and the discovery is ready for play and storytelling.

The feel of the pod’s exterior and the texture of the sediment provide a tactile, immersive experience. The jungle-print design adds a sense of adventure, making each dig feel like a miniature expedition. The kit’s self-contained nature makes setup quick, so kids can start exploring with minimal prep.

Learning through exploration

The Excavation Guide offers kid-friendly overviews about each animal, its habitat, and the world we share. It encourages careful observation and classification in a way that’s informative and approachable, without making claims beyond the activity.
