MindWare Dig It Up! Fossils & Minerals – Hands-on Excavation Kit for Kids

Hands-on discovery with MindWare Dig It Up! Fossils & Minerals

Turn a simple stone into a time capsule of science. Each 3-inch clay stone hides a fossil or mineral inside, and you reveal it with the included chisel. As you chip away, the cool clay softens, dust puffs free, and tiny mineral flecks catch the light. You might discover pieces reminiscent of petrified wood or pyrite, turning a quiet moment into a small moment of wonder.

Designed for groups, this kit shines in classrooms, parties, or family play. With 12 individually wrapped stones, each paired with its own tool and instruction sheet, it’s easy to run hands-on activities without crowding. The Excavation Guidebook adds context with fun facts and creative activities on the back of the sheets.
