Monopoly The Super Mario Bros. Movie Edition – Amazon Exclusive Family Board Game for Kids 8+

Level up family game night with a Mario-inspired Monopoly

Monopoly The Super Mario Bros. Movie Edition blends classic real estate strategy with the vivid world of the film. Players explore the Mushroom Kingdom, buying, selling, and trading locations from the Super Mario universe while chasing coins as the new currency. The edition preserves familiar Monopoly tension and pacing, but with film-inspired artwork, beloved characters, and a Bowser token that moves on its own track to shake things up on every turn. The result is an immersive, tastefully themed experience that feels both fresh and familiar for fans of the movie and the board game alike.

What makes this edition stand out

This version leans into the film setting, transforming standard properties into recognizable Mario landmarks. Owning complete property sets remains a core path to winning, but coins replace traditional cash, adding a tactile, rewarding vibe. Warp Pipe spaces speed up play and introduce strategic decision points, creating moments of quick reversals as players jump across the board.

• The board features iconic Super Mario locations, blending nostalgia with strategic options for trading and investing.
• A Bowser token moves independently on the board, offering a playful twist that can disrupt plans and heighten tension.

Other tactile touches heighten the theme without changing the core rules: gold cardboard coins give a satisfying heft, and a set of power-up inspired tokens adds color and personality to the play area. The combination of film visuals and familiar Monopoly mechanics invites both careful planning and spontaneous fun.

What you get and how to play

• Includes 6 plastic tokens representing popular Mario characters and power-ups (for example, Toad’s frying pan and a Super Mushroom).
• Warp Pipes enable fast travel across the board, letting players leap to spaces between pipes and rejoin the action quickly.
• Question Blocks and Piranha Plant cards introduce surprises that can shift momentum from turn to turn.
• Gold cardboard coins replace standard money, adding a tactile, coin-collecting feel to property trades.

This edition keeps the familiar rhythm of Monopoly while weaving in film-inspired art and themes. It’s designed to be accessible for younger players while offering enough strategic depth to keep older players engaged, making it a versatile option for family game nights.
