Description
xMeadow, from Rebel Studio, invites players to roam an inviting meadow, spotting plants, animals, and tiny curiosities. With a map to guide their wandering and a journal to record observations, players sketch scenes and collect landscapes and keepsakes. The aim is to gather the most points by matching what they observed with the locations and tokens on the board. The pace is friendly yet competitive, concluding by the campfire where expeditions are compared and celebrated.
In Meadow, you’re not just rolling dice; you’re drafting a careful collection. Each turn lets you choose from a limited pool of flora, fauna, and landscapes. Your choices are shaped by what your rivals have already claimed and what tokens you have available, making careful planning essential. The thrill comes from balancing ambition with the reality of shared space on the map, as locations get taken and possibilities shift.
What makes Meadow appealing to different players? Its approachable rules open the door for families and casual gamers, while the deeper drafting constraints reward strategic thinking—especially when playing with seasoned gamers who can foresee several moves ahead. The artwork helps tell the story: over 180 cards feature hand-painted watercolor scenes that invite one to linger and imagine the meadow’s quiet drama. The design uses minimal icons and text, letting the art carry much of the storytelling and making the game visually accessible on every table.
Meadow works well at home, during family game nights, or as a shared pastime in community spaces. Its theme naturally suits nature lovers, educators who want a tabletop experience that echoes field observation, and groups that enjoy a gentle competition with a clear objective: build the most enchanting collection of plants, animals, landscapes, and souvenirs. The game supports solo or small-group play, adapting to various setups and pacing preferences.
