MCRADY STEM RC Car Kit for Ages 8-14 - Build, Learn & Drive an F1 Racer

Hands-on STEM fun with an authentic F1-inspired build

Meet the MCRADY STEM RC Car Kit, a wooden remote control car project designed for curious kids ages 8-14. This kit blends practical engineering with creative play, inviting learners to assemble a real working model while discovering how motors, circuits, and motion come together.

As they work, children are guided through thoughtful problem-solving and tactile experimentation—no batteries are included, encouraging exploration of power, energy transfer, and cause-and-effect as they test and iterate their design.

What’s in the kit

• Precision laser-cut plywood parts that fit together with minimal effort and smooth edges for safe handling.
• A user-friendly set of tools and clear, visual instructions to support independent construction or guided family learning.
• A functional RC control system that introduces wireless communication and motion control in a concrete, hands-on project.

Key benefits you might notice

• Develops engineering thinking and logical reasoning through assembly and testing.
• Encourages creativity and customization, with room to personalize the car’s look (paints not included).
• Supports early electronics exposure by routing current from motor to motion, with real-time feedback from the build.
• Safe, eco-conscious design using non-toxic plywood and smoothly finished components.

Ideal for birthdays, holidays, or a thoughtful back-to-school project, the kit fosters family bonding as kids and caregivers explore science together. It’s a focused challenge that can spark pride in a finished racer—yet remains approachable for beginners and aspiring engineers alike.
