LEGO Super Mario Bowser’s Airship Expansion Set 71391 – 1,152-Piece Building Toy for Kids

Discover the LEGO Super Mario Bowser’s Airship Expansion Set 71391, a brick-built adventure designed for fans who love building, exploring, and leveling up their play space. With 1,152 pieces, this expansion invites kids to assemble Bowser’s menacing airship and introduce fresh challenges within their LEGO Super Mario universe. Choose between a sleek flying mode that keeps the ship in dynamic motion or a course mode that unfolds to reveal a playable interior—the kind of setup that sparks imaginative play and step-by-step problem solving.

Inside the set, you’ll find three familiar figures from the game—Kamek, a Rocky Wrench, and a Goomba—along with a POW Block and a Cannon Start Pipe. These pieces invite tactile action, from knocking over Bowser’s Mecha Hand to toppling the mast with a sturdy plank, encouraging experimentation with cause-and-effect and timing in a safe, brick-built world.

Play options extend beyond solo adventures. The Airship supports two-player sessions when paired with LEGO Mario or LEGO Luigi via Bluetooth, turning building into cooperative or friendly competitive play. The included Cannon Start Pipe is designed to kick off a 90-second level, fitting both quick play and longer build-and-play sessions.

For younger builders, this expansion pairs with the LEGO Super Mario Starter Course (71360 or 71387) to unlock full play, ensuring the new layout integrates smoothly with existing setups. There’s a free LEGO Super Mario app offering building instructions, inspiration, and extra ideas, making it easier to expand—though the physical set can be enjoyed without the app if you prefer.

Built for display when not in use, the Airship’s brick-built details deliver a bold, collectible look that fits on a shelf or desk. It also makes a thoughtful gift for families who enjoy shared play and creative challenges, especially for fans of the Super Mario universe who want to extend their play space with a new, iconic level.
