Kenley Counting Ladybugs — Montessori Wooden Counting Toy for 3–5 Year Olds

A playful, hands‑on learning companion

The Kenley Counting Ladybugs set brings tactile, screen-free math play to preschoolers and early learners. With numbers 0–10 crafted into eleven wooden ladybugs, kids explore counting, sorting, and simple number games through concrete, physical activity. The experience is designed to feel like a miniature learning adventure, where each bug becomes a tactile cue for counting steps, patterns, and basic math ideas.

What’s included and what makes it charming

• Eleven natural wood ladybugs finished with child‑safe paint, providing a warm, tactile counting experience.
• A soft felt storage jar with detachable flowers, a sturdy zipper, and an adjustable shoulder strap for portability.
• A compact storage system that makes tidy up part of the play ritual, not a separate chore.

Designed with real-world parenting insights, this set emphasizes durability and ease of use. The felt jar and wooden bugs invite little hands to explore texture, weight, and balance as they manipulate, count, and sort during playtime or quiet moments at home, in the classroom, or on the go.

Learning through play: practical ways to use the set

• Count from 0 to 10 as kids line up, group by number, or create simple addition and subtraction games.
• Sort bugs by color, size, or pattern to build early categorization and logical thinking skills.

Two easy ways to extend the activity: build quick dot-to-dot style challenges on paper, or set up tiny pretend scenarios where the bugs represent items in a story. These formats keep sessions engaging while reinforcing core math concepts.

Why parents and caregivers appreciate it

• Natural materials and a child‑safe finish create a calm, tactile learning environment.
• Portable design supports learning moments away from a desk or screen, making it handy for car trips or class activities.

Overall, the Kenley Counting Ladybugs set offers a flexible, kid‑friendly way to practice number sense and fine motor skills. The emphasis is on possibilities and exploration, not guarantees, encouraging curiosity and independent play as children grow more confident with counting and basic math tasks.

Care and longevity

To keep the pieces in good condition, wipe wooden parts with a damp cloth and dry promptly. The felt jar detaches for easy cleaning and storage, and the zipper and strap are designed for everyday handling by young learners.
