Painting journey and techniques

Many hobbyists reach for Citadel Colour paints and brushes to bring these models to life. Start with priming to ensure paint adhesion, then apply basecoats, build color depth with layers, and finish with shading and highlighting to emphasize edges and recesses. Techniques like dry brushing can convey worn metal, while washes and edge highlighting add depth and contrast. The sculpted details invite a wide range of color schemes—from bold, high‑contrast palettes that pop on the battlefield to darker, atmospheric tones that evoke a war‑scarred universe.

Display, gaming, and community

Beyond the hobby bench, these Legionaries are designed for tabletop skirmishes and larger battles alike. Painted models can serve as striking showpieces on your display shelf or as reliable troops in your Warhammer 40,000 army. The hobby also connects you to a global community of painters and gamers, with stores and clubs offering demos, exchanges, and friendly contests that celebrate creativity and tactical play alike.
