Dead Man's Draw by Mayday Games — Pirate Card Game for 2-4 Players

Dead Man's Draw: pirate card game by Mayday Games

Hoist the Jolly Roger and test your nerve in Dead Man's Draw, a pirate-themed risk-and-reward card game for 2–4 players. Pirates press their luck to chase treasure, weighing the pull of a powerful card against the risk of losing what they’ve earned. The core of each turn is a flip of the deck: draw a card, use its special ability, and decide when to bank your loot or keep drawing in pursuit of more gold. Stay agile, stay bold, and watch out for the moment when two cards share a suit—the loot sinks to Davy's Locker.

Originally a popular digital card experience from Stardock Entertainment, this physical edition channels that same tension into social play, delivering quick rounds, rowdy laughs, and meaningful choices that don’t require a long setup or complex rules.

What’s in the box

• 1 box, 1 rulebook, 60 loot cards, and 17 trait cards to fuel varied strategies.
• A compact, durable package designed for game nights, travel, and party gatherings.

How it plays in a nutshell

• Players take turns drawing and using card abilities to accumulate treasure while managing risk.
• Draw carefully: keep adding loot to your stash or risk losing it all by drawing two cards of the same suit.
• Bank when you feel secure, or push your luck for a bigger payoff as the table tilts with each turn.

What makes Dead Man's Draw appealing

The game blends simple rules with surprising twists, enabling quick decisions, bluffing, and tense moments that feel both fresh and familiar. It scales well—from intimate duos to lively group sessions—and its pirate flavor makes it a fitting centerpiece for social gaming. The included cards offer varied interactions, ensuring repeat play without repetitive turns.
